Beijing, China Part 5

We went straight to places of interests 1. Forbidden City That was the 1st time I realised something amiss. While the other tours groups carried flags to guide their members, we had none. And a sister in our group who was a frequent traveller offered her umbrella to replace the flag. And she was frowning as she handed the umbrella. Not that she care about the umbrella but to the fact tht we didnt have the guiding pole. What kind of travel agency that didnt have that important item - I ll leave this to ur judgement.FYI, designated flags serve as a guiding poles for members in case while enjoying the views, one member got separated from the group. He could looked for the flag to find his way back to his herd. It is actually one of the most important items in tourism industry.( At least in my point of view as a tourist ) I was like, how can I pay up to RM3k just to face this kind of difficulties. All of us were so afraid tht we didn't enjoy the amazing Forbidden City. To make the mat...

Beijing, China Part 4

In the craft, we were seated randomly so when I looked back maybe that was the case of free seating which meant the agency opted not to book paid seats for us to make more profits ( just my assumption). My seat was on the last row and near the washroom. It was disaster because I woke up everytime the toilet was flushed. It really annoyed me and for some time caused me headache. We landed at wee hour and my friend and I was once again nearly miss our tour group. Why? Because this so inexperience agent(Msia) instead of guiding us and gathered us, she sat at one corner and assumed we would all knew what to do next. Hello girl, u were paid to take care of us not acting like a ladyboss. I was quite surprise at all these arrangement. Later, we went to immigration booth where we were greeted by sour face immigration officers hermmm........Perhaps because it was still too early... the faces were so sour that they did not even reply our cheerful greet. Hahaha....At times, we heard them shouted ...

Beijing, China Part 3

Beijing ..Being Beijing is being mysterious and as mysterious as Beijing can be, I would love to visit Beijing again. Now that I know a trick or two about Beijing, I more eager than ever to come back. :-) Personal experience which I would treasure forever : When we first decide to visit Beijing..I must say it was a sudden decision but not a last minutes deal. It was only mid-August. We have a friend who we can safely say a frequent visitor to Beijing. He had been to Beijing for atleast 3 times in past 5years. So, u can see why we rely so much on him. Being a 1st timer, I basically knew nothing and at the same time it felt like it was the best decision to let him handle everything. I wanted to go with the same agencies he had previously. But he said the quota was full. So we cant join. FYI, for each tour there should a quota which limit number of participants and agency should not violate this quota in order to ensure satisfactory and safe trip. To cut the story short, we moved fro...

So what are the do's and the don'ts, regardless of ur eagerness, my advice and as cliche as it may sound are... 1. be as cool and calm as possible... because the choice u made will eventually determine ur happiness level for the rest of ur trip. 2. do ur own survey. Do not rely on others. My case was on which I blamed no one but myself. I let my friend to do the survey which we led to us being conned in a broad day light. So how to do ur survey - make sure u dont book via facebook but if u do make sure the agencies have official website and are registered with Malaysia/etc. Tourism or belong to any renowned tourism related brands. - not all tours are arranged by legal travel agencies. I know because this was what had happened to me. I will write about this later :'( - to be on the safe side make sure that ur selected agency carries e.g Jono** travel&tour agency and not only sdn.bhd. This is to ensure that ur selected agency is ...

Beijing,China Part1

Maybe for some people this is not something to brag about.. but for people like me, it was like a dream that eventually came true. I always thought dreams are meant to be just dreams. And it only meant for those born with silver spoons. But who would have guessed that it would be a baby step for my quests. And I am forever grateful to God for the chances. I am not good with words so I am going to pour my feeling with the language I am most comfortable with though my grammar is literally upside down. So, do forgive me. My trip to China was amazing..I am literally in love with Beijing. It was unique in its own way..U cant expect too much though so my advice to 1st timer is to b positive...keep an open mind. If u cant then this is not a place for u to visit. But again my experience might differ from others so as my opinions...U see, when u r so eager to travel u tend to ignore the do's and the don'ts...all u care about is how to get to ur destination..atleast this was the case ...

When I was young, I always wonder what it's like to live in a place-away from home.Bukanlah maksudnyer Malaysia ni tak best. Best and I am grateful...Just wondering. Being human is being curious and discontent (At least in my case) ;-). So, basically this blog is dedicated to myself and my big dream. But I honestly hope that it will also serve as a useful reference for budget traveller as myself.
